Business solutions TOYOTA EXTENDS RANGE OF ELECTRIC TRUCKS

Even greater productivity is provided with the new high speed version of Toyota's four-wheel, 80v electric counterbalanced forklift truck, capable of top speeds of up to 21 kph.

Available in 2, 2.5 and 3 tonne lifting capacities, and with an open or closed cabin, the high-speed 7FBMF-S trucks are suitable for a range of industries and applications.

The real benefit of the 7FBMF-S can be realised in operations where long travel distances are needed to transport a load and it is safe and acceptable to travel at these speeds. Transportation time between pick up and deposit of loads on long runs can be reduced, leading to improved productivity.

Compared to conventional speed, four-wheel electric trucks, the 7FBMF-S can provide more productivity in operation, and/or potentially lead to reduced fleet sizes, where productivity gains are measured over a fleet of trucks.

Compared to engine powered trucks in hard working operations where long travel distances occur, the 7FBMF-S can also provide comparable productivity and movement cycle times. These electric trucks are suitable for companies working under the above conditions and that also need a solution to reduce noise and fuel emissions.

Efficiency can be further improved when the 7FBMF-S is used in conjunction with Toyota's exclusive side-exit, battery exchange chassis. This system means batteries are changed by moving them horizontally on and off the truck, ensuring a simple but fast change over and allowing the operator to continue to use the truck at all times. This is particularly beneficial for fleet users where the trucks are working intensively and for more than one shift.

Craig Walby product manager at Toyota Industrial Equipment Europe commented: "The side-exit, battery exchange chassis combined with the different systems available to unload and load the battery, means this truck is highly effective for intensive long distance movement applications and multi-shift operations."

The 7FBMF-S features all the advanced design features currently found on the 7FBMF range including Toyota’s Operator Total Care (OTC) package which ensures the driver is as comfortable and productive as possible, and Toyota's unique System of Active Stability (SAS), the world's first active safety system for forklifts that dynamically protects the driver and the load. Also included is Toyota's AC² Power System comprising a compact AC controller and AC motor which ensure the most efficient use of the battery’s energy.
