New President for Toyota Industrial Equipment

Toyota Industrial Equipment Europe (TIEE) has a new President, Osamu Miura, who joins the company from Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) in Japan.
Mr Miura replaces Shinya Furukawa, who leaves TIEE after four years as President to serve as President of Toyota Material Handling International.
Mr Miura comes to TIEE after having served as Deputy General Manager of TICO’s Overseas Sales and Marketing Department since April 2004. Mr Miura has been part of the TICO organisation since 1999, when he joined the company’s textile machinery division as President of Toyota Textile Machinery in the United States, a position which he held until December 2006.
On his new appointment, Osamu Miura said: “I am honoured to have the opportunity to bring my experience to the European team. I am confident that co-operation and teamwork will help us to further strengthen our position in the European market.”
As part of TICO’s materials handling division, TIEE represents the Toyota brand in Europe. With a dynamic European network of 21 distributors covering 28 countries, TIEE provides world-leading products and services to customers across Europe.
